Strathclyde Police Lost Property Auctions
Four times a year Strathclyde Police holds public auctions to sell the unclaimed items that are handed-in to the Force's Lost Property office. In 2006, these auctions will take place on the following dates:10 June2 September25 November. The sales are an opportunity for any member of the public to pick-up items such as jewellery, cameras, cycles, garden equipment, clothing and electrical goods - with all items going to the highest bidder and no reserve prices set for any of the items on sale. Over the years the auctions have proved extremely popular, with people travelling from as far afield as Cumbria and Ireland.By taking part in the auctions, you can help to improve policing in the Strathclyde Police Force area, as all the funds that are raised are used to fund initiatives that help to make our Force area safer from crime. All auctions are held at Wilsons Auctioneers, Kilwinning Road, Dalry - approximately half a mile south of Dalry on the A737.Viewing takes place on the Friday prior to the sale and from 9.00am on Saturday morning. The sale itself starts at 11.30am.To find out more about the auctions, you can contact Strathclyde Police’s Lost Property Department on 0141 532 2468/2609.
