David Stanley Auctions
Founded in 1980, David Stanley Auctions are recognised world wide as the principal auctioneers of Antique Woodworking Tools. Fifteen years ago David's son, Ian, joined the family firm and later Adam, his younger son, also came on board. As well as the family members, the team at Stordon Grange includes John James, who is responsible for the photographs in the catalogue, John Wilkins, who writes the catalogue descriptions and Peter Meadows who is the anchor man in the office.Twenty years of specialist auctioneering has provided us with an in-depth knowledge of the tools and related items which we sell. This enables us to offer advice to both buyer and seller on all aspects of tools and tool collecting. Since 1980 we have sold more over 250,000 lots of tools by auction, way ahead of any other tool auction house in the world. We are purely auctioneers, not dealers, avoiding the danger of a conflict of interest. Our firm is noted for its professional and friendly approach, coupled with reliability and honesty. Trust plays a large part in our business; tools are sent out to known customers before payment is received and cheques are usually paid to vendors before the due date. We guarantee complete confidentiality to all customers. Whether you wish to buy or sell top price lots or more mundane items, the firm is uniquely positioned to advise you. You will be dealing with the principals, who are therefore able to give an immediate response to any queries or
