Dingwall Motor Auctions is run by Mr. Paul I. C. Manton who joined the company in 1974. It was Established in 1947 in Dingwall Road, Croydon, Surrey, England by his grandfather Mr. Sidney Hall hence the name of the current building ‘’SIDNEY HOUSE’’. Paul must have engine oil in his veins, because his other Grandfather founded MANTON MOTORS in Croydon. There were Four Families, DEES, DOVES, LEATHWOODS and the MANTONS and just after the war they represented FORD’S, AUSTIN / MORRIS, ROVER, and the ROOTES GROUP, in that order.Dingwall Motor Auctions is an Independent Family Business and is Croydon’s Largest Motor Auctioneers. In 1966 Dingwall Motor Auctions moved to it present home in Beddington Farm Road, Croydon.
