In the middle 1980’s Russell Baldwin & Bright (est.1846) sold its estate agency business along with its original name, whilst retaining the remainder of the business (Markets, Fine Arts, Vehicle Auctions etc) under the modified name of Russell Baldwin & Bright Markets. When Russell Baldwin & Bright Markets recently decided to re-enter the property market they were hoping to repurchase the estate agency business from current owners Chancellors. Negotiations proved unfruitful and so the decision was taken to adopt a new name for the whole business. Thus Brightwells was born and sees the reintroduction of a quality residential, agricultural and commercial property sale and lettings operation based at Cathedral Chambers in Hereford with 6 offices around the region. So, for clarification, the existing Russell Baldwin & Bright estate agency remains unconnected with the historic business, which now trades under the new banner of Brightwells. With its network of long-established and diverse departments, Brightwells prides itself on national and international respect in numerous areas of business.
